Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Jul 26, 1867, p. 3. DIED. At Bowling Green, on the 19th inst., of dysentery, Mrs. Mary Poucher, wife of Rev. John Poucher, of the M.E. Church, aged 54 years. The deceased was a native of England, and for forty years had been associated with the Methodist Church. Through that long period her life illustrated the faith and practice of a true Christian. During the short interval of her residence at Bowling Green, of which church her husband was Pastor, she won the respect of all parties by her earnest and self-denying zeal in the cause of Christ. In the midst of her usefulness she has been stricken by death and now inherits her reward. By her death, the Church and society have lost a useful member, her husband a devoted wife, her children a tender and affectionate mother. The funeral services were performed by Rev. T. N. Barkdull, of Perrysburg, who preached an impressive sermon to a large concourse of people. The M.E. Church was crowded to its utmost capacity and a considerable number of the citizens stood on the outside during the service. The bereaved husband and children have the deepest sympathy of all classes in this their great and irreparable loss.
