DIED.

In this place, of consumption, on the 27th ult., David Ross, Esq., aged 62 
years.

Obituary. -  During the past twenty-six years he had been a resident of this 
place. By the suffrage of his fellow citizens, he had filled the offices of 
Associate Judge, Sheriff and Justice of the Peace, in which offices, by his 
conciliatory and kindly spirit, he had acquired the respect of all parties.  In 
the private walks of life, his prompt and considerate acts of friendship 
secured the regard of all who knew him.  By his decease, the bereaved family 
deplore the loss of a kind and loving parent, and this community a worthy and 
patriotic citizen.  We rejoice to learn that the blessed hope of immortal life 
cheered his passage to the grave.  He now rests in peace.
