Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. May 6, 1863, p. 3. DIED. At his brother's residence, Bloom township, Wood county, O., of disease of the lungs, Dr. Robert Russell, formerly County Clerk of Paulding county, and late of Bowling Green, O. Alas! one more household in the land is made desolate. Many mourn his loss, but one heart is bowed even unto the dust, at the thought that he will come no more to cheer her home, that his seat henceforth must be vacant and his voice hushed forever in the silence of the tomb. His was a heart full of love for humanity and a sympathy too broad to be confined within the limits of any restrictive system in his faith and practice. The truths which he embraced (and with the beautiful prophecy of which the Bible was all luminous to his eye) were well understood by him. They were wrought into his very experience and were under the very spirit of his life. His was a kind and affectionate husband and father, and exemplary citizen and firm supporter of the Government. May his only child now in defense of her rights, his companion overwhelmed with his sudden and unexpected death, and other relatives who mourn the sundering of ties made sacred by the happy associations of years, be comforted by the assurance of a final reunion and eternal companionship in the land of rest which lies beyond the mystic wave.
