Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Nov 1, 1867, p. 3. DIED. In Perrysburg, October 19, 1867, Winnie W., youngest daughter of Oliver and M.T. Thompson, aged 5 years and 8 months. "For of such is the kingdom of Heaven." Why weep ye, parents, for your child? Why are ye thus unreconciled? Did fell Disease, with giant grasp, Around they little Winnie clasp, And tear her from they loving breast, Disturbing thus thy quiet rest? Though Winnie's gone, yet in the skies, Her soul on angels' wings doth rise, And take its flight to her bright home, Where seraphs beckon her to come; 'Twas God's high will, and His alone That called her hence - He claimed His own. Then cease, fond parents, cease to weep! For Jesus with himself doth keep That darling little one of thine To live eternally and shine. 'Mid angel choirs, as they sing Praises fore'er to God their King. E.
