Mrs. Margaret Underwood Dead.

Mrs. Margaret Underwood died Sunday morning at 2 o'clock at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. John Walker, east of town, aged 78 years. The ravages of an
attack of grip proved too much for the constitution of the old lady and she
expired quite unexpectedly. Deceased was the mother of John W. Underwood,
assistant cashier of the First National Bank. She was one of Wood county's
pioneer residents, having lived here since 1861.

The funeral was held Tuesday at 9:30 at the Underwood church, and the remains
ere laid to rest in Oak Grove cemetery.
