Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Oct 24. 1861, p. 3. DIED. At her residence, in Liberty township, Wood Co., Ohio, on the 23d day of September last, Mrs. Mary Welton, consort of John W. Welton, aged 53 years. She was united by marriage to John W. Welton, her surviving husband, in August 1833. The following October, they both united with the regular Baptist Church in Colesville, Bloom Co., New York, having previously embraced the Christian religion. And, as she had received Christ, so she walked in him, in the various places and situations where Providence cast her lot. The devoted wife, the affectionate mother, the patient, consistent Christian, at home and abroad. She was the mother of six children, one of whom preceded her to the grave, and spirit land. The bereaved husband feels that his loss is very great, but that her gain is much greater, and studies resignation to the Divine will. An appropriate discourse was preached on the funeral occasion, by Elder E.B.
