Wood County Sentinel 27 Jan 1881
Sudden Death. - Mrs. John Walker of Plain Township died at her home very
suddenly week before last. Mrs. Walker with other members of her family went on
foot to the Carr church, one mile distant from their home. After services they
returned, not noticing anything unusual in Mrs. Walker's appearance until she
entered the house, leaving the door open behind her and going directly into her
bedroom. The daughter immediately followed and was horror stricken to find her
mother lying upon the bed a corpse. Deceased was 57 years of age and is supposed
to have died of heart disease.
