The balance of my worldly substance I do leave to my beloved wife Sarah whom I do appoint my executrix, to use for the purpose of raising my family and to be divided amongst them as she thinks fit so long as she is my widow and when the youngest child comes of age the property is to be sold and equally divided among the heirs, reserving the maintainance [sic] of my beloved wife so long as shall live and be my widow. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal being duly sensible and in my right mind having thought about it for some time past and having come to the conclusion to do as above stated. This first day of September, Anno Domini one Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Two. Daniel Snider {seal} X his mark Signed in the presence of us, Joseph Ralston, Samuel Snider, Philip Condit. The State of Ohio, Wood County, ss. Personally appeared in open Court this 23d day of Oct., A.D. 1843, Samuel Snider and Philip Condit who being duly sworn, state that they were called upon to witness the execution of the last will and testament of Daniel Snyder deceased late of Wood County in the state of Ohio, which will is hereto attached. They state that on the first day of November A.D. 1842 they saw the said Daniel Snider subscribe his name to said will in their presence and hear him acknowledge the same to be his last will and testament and at the same time subscribed their names thereto in his presence as subscribing witnesses and they further state that the said Daniel Snider was then of full age and sound mind and memory and that he executed the same without fear, confusion or restraint as they verily believe, and further saith not.
