He was burned at the stake here. Roger Higgins-Findlay, Oh owns the land that the Crawford monument sets on.... you could probably contact him for more information on the area. Note from Scott Baker: take the exit for SR 199 to the north of Upper Sandusky. Travel north on 199 about 5 miles to the wide spot in the road called Crawford, which is at the intersection of 199 and Township Road 29. There is a brick Methodist Church on the NW corner - turn right (east) on 29 and go about 1 mile where you will see a bronze Ohio Historical Marker about Colonel Crawford - turn left (north) and go down the lane to a group of trees: that is the Ritchie Cemetery.  If you cross the Tymochtee Creek you went too far, turn around and go back to Crawford. -------------------------- In Memory Of Col.
