"Pat" Lawrence L. "Pat" Butler son of James Wiley and Rugh (Edgmon) Butler was born on November 24, 1919 in Stilwell, OK and departed this life to be with his Lord on April 29, 2002 in Westville, OK at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 5 days. Pat was married to Ruby Hill on April 17, 1939 and to this union 6 children were born, Ron, Stanley, Shirley, Dee, Judy and Reta. He was a member and deacon of the Christie Southern Baptist Church. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He was preceded in deather by his parents, on son, Stanley Butler and one sister, Nellie Keeter. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Butler of the home in Westville, OK, one son, Ron Butler and wife Christine of Decator, TX, four daughters, Shirley Jones and husband Vonnie of Stilwell, OK, Dee Alderson and husband Gary of Tahlequah, OK, Judy King and husband Gary of Disney, OK and Reta Balmain and husband Johnny of Westville, OK. 16 grandchildren, Brian Thurber, Cathy Harrison, Paul Jones, David Jones and Duane Butler all of Stilwell, OK, Jason Thurber, Jonathan Balmain and Alan Rye all of Westville, OK, Michael Butler of Desoto, TX, Dayna Handle of Gravette, AR, Jeff Alserson of CO, C. B. Alderson of Tahlequah, OK, Kevin King of Disney, OK, Timothy Butler of Gentry, AR, Stan Butler of Siloam Springs, AR and Steven Butler of Lubbock, TX. 2 step-granddaughters, Lisa Gould of Anchorage, AK and Lindy Cooper of Blooming Grove, TX, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Phyllis Guthrie of Siloam Springs, AR, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 10:00am in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Grant officiating. Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
