Born April 12, 1913 in Chance, OK, he was the son of James Chance and Mary Hess Chance. He was a mechanical engineer for McDonnell Douglas and a member of Blue Jay Indian Church, Chance, OK. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Chance was a member of VFW of Westville and American Legion of Watts. He married Brenda Hale July 9, 1996. Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, one step-daughter, Danielle Mitchell of Portland, TN, three step-grandsons, Tony Mitchell, Sampson Mitchell, Lazrus Mitchell, all of Portland, TN, one sister Beatrice Phillips of Watts, OK, one niece, Anita Jo Bonaport of Watts, OK, one cousin, Sheriff Charles Hartshorne, Westville, OK. Graveside memorial services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, May 8, at National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK with Rev. Clarence Klopfenstein officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, AR.
