Ellis Foster and Rev. George Teehee officiating. Burial followed at Echota Cemetery under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Pallbearers included Jimmie Dean Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Bird Wolfe, Eugene Handle, Adam Thirsty, Jr., and Donald Adair. Ellis Lee Handle was born October 13, 1950 in Adair County the son of Levi and Maggie (Adair) Handle and he passed from this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 in an automobile accident near Tahlequah. He had attended school at Rocky Mountain and Cave Springs. He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was a member of the Echota Indian Baptist Church and had worked at Greenleaf Nursery. He was preceded in death by his parents; four uncles and two aunts. His companion Luvina Oosahwee and step-daughter Dorene Foreman also died in the same auto accident. He is survived by brother Tom Levi Handle and sister Janet Handle both of Echota; step-sons Wilson Oosahwee Jr., of the home and Harold L. Foreman of Tahlequah; Uncle John Adair of Talihina; aunts Aileen Dude of Arizona, Irene Handle of Echota and Sallie Ketcher of Stilwell. He also leaves behind may other relatives, loved ones and friends who will mourn his passing. A Wake Service was held on Sunday, January 27 at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
