Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Mrs. Lucas, 78, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (July 11, 2002) at her home. She was born Betty Lou Parker on Oct. 27, 1923, in Westville, Okla. On June 11, 1943, in Lynwood, Calif., she married Kenneth Eugene Lucas, who survives. She was a longtime resident of Orange County in California. In 1993, she moved to Grants Pass from Placentia, Calif. She was a member of the American Quilters Society, Mountain Star Quilters and Piece Makers. In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Sandra Brown, Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Annabelle Shine, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Darlene Girdner, Rogue River; a brother, Earl Dean Parker, Latimore, N.C.; and a grandson.
