She departed this life on January 24, 2002 at Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 years, one month and 29 days. Ernestine was married to Carl Fred Roberts on September 3, 1942 and to this union three children were born: Charles, George and Sue. She was a cook for many years working in restaurants, factory cafeterias and hospital cafeterias. Ernestine enjoyed her family and the duties that followed her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She also cherished the fellowship of close friends. She was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended when her health permitted her to. Her parents, her husband of 58 years, one sister and brother-in-law Margie and Woodrow Wade, preceded her in death. She is survived by a loving family that includes two sons, Charles Roberts and wife Cindy of Stilwell, George Roberts and wife Bertie of Stilwell; one daughter Sue White and husband Larry of Stilwell; her grandchildren Ruth and Mike, Lorie and Ronnie, Renee and Joel, Steven and Kathy, Tom and Stacy, Dan, Rick and Somher, Shelly, Rae and John; her great-grandchildren Jenna, Kyla, Shaquille, Karley Jo, Kristen, Marinn, Kodi and Dillon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services celebrating her life were held Monday, January 28, 2002 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stilwell with Bro. Bill Anderson, Bro. Joe Carmean, Bro. Dick Goad and Pastor James White officiating. Interment followed at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Stilwell.
