SANDERS, Leon

Leon Sanders, son of John Sanders and the late Eliza (Bearpaw) Sanders 
was born March 17, 1964 and departed this life on May 6, 2002 at the age 
of 38 years, 1 month and 18 days.

Leon was employed through Greenleaf nursery for 11 years. He liked 
listening to classic rock music and spending time with friends. He also 
enjoyed playing softball and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eliza Sanders, one sister, 
Linda Kay Sanders, and one brother, Amos Sanders.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Johnny and Wanda Sanders. 
His longtime companion, Debbie Burris, one son, Brian Sanders, 2 daughters 
Kelley Beaver and Amanda Beaver all of Stilwell, OK, one sister Brenda 
Butler of Cookson, OK; 4 brothers, Johnny Sanders, Jr., Randy Sanders 
and George Sanders all of Stilwell, OK and Leroy Sanders of Carney, OK. 
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, 
other relatives and many, many friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the 
Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Todd Dowty officiating. 
Interment was in the Flute Springs Cemetery under the direction of 
Roberts/Reed-Culver Runeral Home.
