Tibbits The graveside service for Vineta G. Tibbits will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Mrs. Tibbits, 83, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Sept. 15, 2001) at her home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, Department of Neurology, Box 356465, Seattle, WA 98195. She was born March 8, 1918, in Stillwell, Okla. On Dec. 3, 1937, in Van Buren, Ark., she married Willie Guy Tibbits, who died in 1961. She first moved to Grants Pass in 1949. In 1970, she moved to Tacoma, Wash., where she lived until her return to Grants Pass four years ago. Mrs. Tibbits was a cook at local restaurants and Josephine Memorial Hospital for many years. In Tacoma, Wash., she worked at Puget Sound Hospital. She enjoyed quilting, as well as vegetable and flower gardening. Survivors include three sons, Bob and Dick, both Grants Pass, and Bill, Woodinville, Wash.; a daughter, Barbara Biencourt, Sunny Valley; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
