MRS. CAL CRILLEY DIES WEDNESDAY Pioneer Woman Taken After Illness Lasting Almost One Year Mrs. Cal Crilley, one of the pioneer women of the Cherokee Strip, was taken in death Wednesday evening about 11 o'clock. Death followed a prolonged and painful illness which has extended over the past year. The immediate cause of the passing was a paralytic attack which came shortly before the demise. Due to Mrs. Crilley's prolonged, serious illness, most of her children and immediate relatives had been summoned to her bedside. Those who were near her at the time of death were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Duke & son of Dodge City, Kansas; R.G. Crilley of Hutchinson, Kansas; J.C. Crilley of Dodge City, Kansas; Mrs. J.C. Thompson & daughter of Barstow, California; Mrs. Kate Donvanbill of Dodge City, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Garrett & daughter of Kansas City; and J. C. Crilley of Sheridan, Wyoming. Mrs. Jack Hamilton of Williams, Arkansas, another daughter, had been at her mother's bedside for some days but left for her home late last week. She had not been found for notification of her mother's death late Thursday.
