Oris R. Hubbell

CLOVIS, N.M. - Oris R. "Bill" Hubbell, 81, died Saturday, March 22, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hamlin Memorial Methodist Church in 
Farwell, Texas, with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire and Greg Martin officiating. 
Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery at Bovina, Texas, by Steed-Todd Funeral 
Home.

Mr. Hubbell was born in Helena, Okla. He moved to Oklahoma Lane, Texas, 
and farmed there.

He married Golma Foster at Clovis. They moved to Clovis in 1947 and farmed 
southwest of town until moving to Farwell in 1953. They moved back to 
Clovis in 1961.

He was a dock foreman for ICX Freight for 25 years and retired from Moore 
Implement after 28 years. He was a member of the Teamsters for 23 years 
and a past member of the board of stewards of Oklahoma Lane Methodist 
Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lloyd.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kerry Hubbell of Clovis and Ricky 
Hubbell of Farwell; two daughters, Beverly Obenshain and Debbie Dillon, 
both of Farwell; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1416 Brentwood Drive in Clovis.
