All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Cherokee Municipal Cemetery--Cherokee OK Alva Review Courier 5 May 2004 Willard Cornelius Herren, 96, Cherokee Funeral services for Willard Cornelius Herren, 96, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee with his grandson, Danny Wampler officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee. The family will open the Herren home at 413 South Ohio Street in Cherokee to friends who would like to stop by. He was born Oct. 22, 1907, in Indian Territory, before Oklahoma became a state, now known as Cherokee, to Eugene and Celeste Sherer Herren. He passed away May 2, 2004. He and Millie Spoon were married for 54 years. She preceded him in death in December 1995. Surviving are the children Willard raised as his own, Charles Tevis Edwards, Joyce Manie Huber and Lora Blaidsell, all of California, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren.
