Johnston TULIA - Bufford G. Johnston, 69, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Mr. Johnston was born in Bonham, raised in Durant, Okla., and attended schools in Ashley, Okla. In 1946, he moved to Tulia where he worked for 25 years for Love Brothers Oil. He retired after 10 years with John Deere. During the 1950s, Mr. Johnston served with the National Guard. He married Cordie Mae Kinslow in 1954 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debra Lynn Myers of Amarillo and Nine Mae Johnston of Plainview; three sons, James M. Johnston of Platter Flat, Okla., Bradford Garland Johnston of Tulia and Charles Dean Johnston of Denison; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and 15 step-grandchildren.
