All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Cherokee Memorial Park--Lodi CA Mizar, Donald Wayne DONALD WAYNE MIZAR APRIL 20, 1920 - JAN. 18, 2007 Donald Wayne Mizar, born 1920 in Aline, Okla. Don, age 86, passed away January 18, 2007 at Hylond Convalescent Hospital in Modesto Ca after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Sixty-five years earlier on this same date, he had met his loving wife Leona who was by his bedside at the time of his death. He was born in Oklahoma, lived in Texas, farmed in Republic Kansas, lived in Colorado and moved to Manteca, Ca in 1972. He worked at Mid- Cal Equipment Co in Stockton, Ca where he retired in 1985. Don loved RVing, especially going south to Yuma, Arizona in the winter. While at the various RV parks, you would always see him on his scooter meeting and greeting everyone. He never knew a stranger. At the El Rancho Mobile Home Park in Manteca, he was always ready for a game of pool. He loved to go to yard sales and purchase phones, watches, clocks and radios, which he would repair and give away. Someone else's junk was his treasure. Don was a 60 yr member of the Ochiltree Masonic Lodge #910 AF & AM of Perryton, Texas. Don was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Lee Mizar. Don is survived by his loving wife Leona of 64 years, two children, Steven Mizar and wife Brenda of Modesto and LaDawn Wheeler and husband Gary of Manteca, brother Houston Mizar of Kentucky, sisters Dorothy Egner of Colorado and Betty Mackey of Arizona; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. There will be no services. Interment will be in The Garden of the Gospels at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Ca.
