Doris L. Maltbie

Doris L. Maltbie, 91, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cherokee Cemetery in 
Cherokee, Okla., with Gerald Floyd, Richard Goodwin and Bill Goodwin 
officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 
Bell St.

Mrs. Maltbie was born in Madill, Okla. She was a billing clerk for Mercy 
Hospital in Independence, Kan., for 23 years before her retirement. She 
was a member of First Christian Church of Independence.

She married Lee Roy Maltbie in 1925. He died in 1955.

Survivors include a sister, Veta Self of Dimmitt; a daughter-in-law, Marge 
Maltbie of Wichita, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to First Christian Church in 
Independence.
