A family service is planned in Canby on June 17. He was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Goltry, Okla., to Theodore and Mary Brockman Menke. He married Nola Glidewell on Feb. 8, 1947, in Springfield, Mo. Menke was a high school graduate. He served in the Army in World War II from 1943 to 1946, as a tank driver in the Third Armored Division. He was a foreman in a lumber mill in Central Point, an apartment manager for several apartment complexes from 1972 to 1994 and a courtesy driver for B&G Automotive and Electric. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Blancher and Sandie Dellinger, both of Eugene; a son, Joe of Canby; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife died May 16, 2001.
