All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Chapel Hill Cemetery--OKC OK Roberta Darlene `Nanny` Proffitt was born on August 6, 1921 in Aline, Oklahoma to Clarence and Josie Ashcraft. She grew up in Southard, Oklahoma and moved to Fairview, Oklahoma after the death of her father in 1944. She later moved to Bethany, Oklahoma in 1947. She joined the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene in 1944. She has been a faithful member of Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene for 13 years and had been very involved in the Caritis Sunday School class where she enjoyed calling on those who missed a service. Darlene was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. On September 16, 1991, she moved to the Baptist Retirement Center where she loved being so involved in all activities. She loved everyone there who had become family to her. She is survived by one son Jim and Daryl Proffitt, Lufkin, Texas; 2 daughters Ellen and Ron McNeill, Karen and Randy Webb, Oklahoma City; 5 grandsons Jason and Laurie McNeill, Oklahoma City, Cris and Amanda Proffitt, Jeff and Brenda Proffitt, Panama City, Florida, Justin and Angie McNeill, Piedmont, Oklahoma, Heath and Tiffany Webb, Bethany, Oklahoma; 3 granddaughters Amy and Russ Weschler, Stacey Proffitt, Panama City, Florida, Heather and Tim Selement, Oklahoma City; and 7 wonderful great-grandchildren Lindsey, Mackensey, Myles NcNeill, Oklahoma City, Logan and Cody McNeill, Piedmont, and Matthew and Morgan Proffitt, Panama City, Florida.
