Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with Dr. James Garrett, of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be at a later date in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Alfalfa County, Okla., and moved to Amarillo 86 years ago from Lubbock. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and attended Polk Street United Methodist Church. She married James Whit Rodgers in 1932 at Clayton, N. M. He died in 1992. Survivors include a sister, Viola Cassel of Grand Junction, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
