Services Held Today for R.G. Stauffer R.G. (Top) Stauffer, 77, Cherokee, passed away Sunday, April 23, 1967, in the Masonic Hospital. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Grapes Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arthur K. Hunt, officiating. Interment will be in Short Springs Cemetery. Stauffer was born in Rush county Kansas, July 5, 1889. He moved to Ingersoll with his parents during the opening of the Cherokee Strip. In 1931 Stauffer moved to Osburn, Kansas, and lived there until his marriage to Pearl Diel, December 11, 1934, at which time he moved back to Ingersoll and lived there until moving to Cherokee in 1959.
