All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Karoma Cemetery--Goltry OK Alva Review Courier 21 May 2004 Delcie Wedel, 82, Goltry Funeral service for Delcie Wedel, age 82, will be 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Pleasant View Church of God in Christ Mennonite at Goltry, with Ministers Dennis Koehn and Randy Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Karoma Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Casket will be open at the funeral home in Helena on Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the family present for visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You may share condolences with the family online at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com. Delcie was born September 30, 1921 in Burton, Kansas to Andrew Koehn and Susie Unruh Koehn and died May 20, 2004 at Moundridge Manor in Moundridge, Kansas. Her family moved to the Goltry, Oklahoma area where she attended school. Then Delcie worked in a restaurant and later, married LeRoy Wedel December 31, 1944. They had one son and five daughters. Surviving Delcie is her husband, LeRoy of Moundridge, Kan.; one son, Tony Wedel of Goodwell; five daughters, Juanita Koehn of Canton, Kansas, Glenda Eck of Hilmar, Calif., Sheryle Boehs of Isabella, Patsy Koehn of Leoti, Kan., and Peggy Schmidt of Dalhart, Texas; one sister, Lucille Preston of Enid; three brothers, Chester Koehn of Greeley, Colo., Harry Koehn of Hennessey, and Alvin 'Barney' Koehn of Wichita, Kan., nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Delcie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
