Richey 1927-2000 Service for Lorene J. Richey, 72, of Comanche, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Rainey will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Richey died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, in Midland. Born June 24, 1927, in Atoka, Okla., to Homer and Sarah Williams, she was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of Gartman View Baptist Church. She married A.E. "Curley" Rogers in 1951. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1978. She married Glen Richey on May 22, 1983. She is survived by her husband, Glen Richey of Comanche; a son, Wayne and wife Lynn Long of Decatur; daughters Geneva and husband Paul Ridgeway of Midland, Lou and husband Roger Hitt of Decatur, Sue and husband Clifford Mercer of Ennis; step-daughters Pat and husband Lonnie Black of Fort Worth, Glenda and husband Joe Hicks of Alvarado, Lucy and husband James Martin of Cresson; step-son James and wife Debbie Richey of Granbury; two sisters ,Cleo Craig and Imogene Craig of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Floyd Williams of Eastland and Lloyd Williams of Comanche; grandsons, Wayland Long, Clint Mercer, Cameron Mercer and Brett Ridgeway; granddaughters, Lisa Luttrull, Shelly Saaser and Laci Ridgeway; five great-grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, three brothers and one grandson.
