Smith 1980 Atoka, Oklahoma Rites were held Friday for R.A. Smith, 77 year-old rancher that passed away in Muskogee VA Hospital, January 1. Mr. Smith was the son of John Smith and Julie Ammons Smith and was born December 2, 1905, in Jasper, Arkansas. He was a World War II veteran. Rev. Bud Pitts and the Atoka Funeral Home were in charge of the services held in the Home chapel with internment in the Green Meadow Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Patsy R. Minnick of Grants, N.M.; one son, Robin Smith of Atoka; three grandchildren; two sisters: Idaho Johnson, Shawnee and Marie Slater of Coalgate; one brother, Ben Levi Smith of Atoka. Pallbearers were Homer Blaker, Monroe Cochran, Porter Dunham, Forest Mansell, Bob Lewis, Willard Olsen and E.L. Krahn. Submitted to paper by: Patsy R. Minnick. Copy sent to Lola Harris Withrow.
