The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ************************************************************************ Submitted by: Peggy Yarbrough September 16, 2001 ======================================================================== SAMUEL THOMPSON YARBROUGH Samuel Thompson Yarbrough of Atoka, age 73 years, passed away June 19, 1943, in the University Hospital in Oklahoma City after a long illness. He was born September 7, 1869 in Coosa County, Alabama to William and Sarah Jane (Kelley) Yarbrough. He came to Oklahoma in 1903 and was a member of the Christian Church. Graveside services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30p.m. at the Wards Chapel Cemetery with Rev. C.M. Milligan of Atoka officiating. Burial was conducted by Keith & Son Funeral Home. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Catherine Stowers Yarbrough who died December 18, 1928. He was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucy Kelley of Cooper, Texas; two sons, Willie Yarbrough of Atoka and Virgil Yarbrough of Savanna, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------- Source: Death Certificate & Funeral Home Record -------------------------------------------------
