MORAN, WILLIAM C. - BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
(16 Feb 1928, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Henry Moran assisted by his (Henry's) sisters, Mrs. Sam Morrison and
Mrs. Bailey Keith, entertained at dinner in the home of the former at
Delhi, their father W. C. Moran and Mrs. Moran of Erick.  The occasion
being the 78th birthday of Mr. Moran, a lovely cake with the regulation
candles graced the center of the dining table, a bountiful feed had been
prepared.  Mr. Bailey Keith and children and Mr. Sam Morrison and children
were additional guests.

Mr. W. C. Moran celebrated his 89th birthday at the home of his son, Henry
Moran, Sunday, February 5.  Uncle B. to all his friends (and there are
many).
It was quite a surprise to Uncle B., but he enjoyed every minute of the
day, especially the fine dinner.  Those who were present to enjoy this
occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Morrison and son, W. C. of Sayre, Mr. and
Mrs. E. E. Hall and children, of Duke, Mrs. Emma Hall and Mrs. J. L.
Ballard, also of Duke, Mrs. Lanham of Erick, Mrs. Lorene Lanham and
daughters, Doris, Billie, Loretta and Loreda of Sayre; Herman Bell, Mary
L. Cornelius, and Jack Cheeves, all of Sayre, Ester Lee Moran, Bobby June
Price, Laverne Moran, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Price, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moran
and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Moran of Erick.
The evening was spent in visiting with friends and relatives.  The group
finally departed wishing the honoree many more such happy birthdays.
