BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
YOUNGER, ELIZABETH
(17 Oct 1935, Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
A pleasant surprise was given Mrs. Elizabeth Younger of Sayre, Sunday,
October 13, honoring her 86th birthday, also Mrs. Ala Marshal's birthday. 
Flowers and gifts were received.
Friends of Mrs. J. W. Younger gave her a pleasant surprise Sunday at her
home, 1208 North Third street on her eighty-sixth birthday.  The guests
began coming in at 11 o'clock Sunday morning with well filled baskets on
their arms.  At the noon hour a large table was spread in the flower
garden where all gathered around for a picnic dinner.
Miss (sic) Younger came to Beckham county from Texas in 1900 where she and
her husband filed on a claim 6 miles north of Sayre.  They lived there
until 1928 when Mrs. Younger built her home in Sayre and has lived here
since.
Mrs. Younger received many nice birthday gifts.
Those present beside her immediate family, Vada Taper and James Younger,
were Miss Irene Marshall, Mrs. Iva Rogers and son Prentice, Mr. and Mrs.
L. A. Sutton, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Kinsey, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Holloway, Mr.
and Mrs. B. F. Oliver and Norman Oliver, H. B. Williams, Ola Marshall, F.
B. Bibb, Henry Hanni, Mrs. Minnie Marshall, Mrs. Robert Hester, Jr.,
Christine Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hanni, Juanita Hanni, Wanda
Younger, Warren Hanni, Gerald Sutton and Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Monahan and F.
D., Jr. of Carnegie.
