ROSS,and D.B.JONES.****Preacher Means and Co.Clerk,MCKINZIE,came down from Sayre Wednesday.****J.C.STORY,Presbytarian pastor will preach here next Sunday morning and evening.****Elder Moss WEAVER,presiding Elder of this district,and A.L.HUNT,W.H.ISOM,W.J.ADKINS,Pastor C.A.MARTIN,purchased lots Monday for the new Methodist church.Three lots,were bought of A.L.HUNT,being 2 blocks east,and one block south of main street.****H.L.CLARK has sold his place 5 miles north of town to W.W.ANDERSON for $4900.He takes some Brownwood,Texas,property,and has moved to that town for his future home.****Mrs. J.B.FUQUA visited relatives at Altus this week.****C.C.LEWELLEN takes a whiff of the Carter Express Specific.****C.A.MOOSE came in Monday after two weeks looking over the country.****SOSEBEE & LEWELLEN,the blacksmith and woodwork firm has the contract to build two wagons for deliverying the small school children at school each morning .****Miss Ima CLAY was out this week visiting with her sister Mrs.W.B.ROSSER she is very much delighted with our little city.****Mrs. J.H.WAGGONER of Elk City,the editor's good mother,and her daughter,Mrs.John MARSH,of Elk Creek,were visiting in the city Thursday.****I will run a school delivery wagon from Carter to the school house to deliver children to and from school,price $1.25 per month,payable in advance.Will leave Carter 8:30 A.M.see me and make arrangements. R.L.MCDONALD****If you want sweet-milk,without the cream skimed off,see T.JACKSON,the milk man,who will call at your place every morning promptly. **************************************************************************** **********December 23,1910 *The Carter Express *Mr.COMWELL is reported to be suffering very much yet.Being a cripple already with rheumatism we fear that this accident will go hard with him.**Bob ANDERSON and family arrived from Beaver County Friday,and will spend Xmas with the old folks at home.**Ben WALROP purchased the residence from his father that was formerly occupied by Henry GLASSGO,and is moving same to Carter where he intends residing.**A big boy was presented to J.HUNT and wife on the 16th.inst.as a nice Xmas present.**O.THOMAS arrived from Beaver county Monday and will spend the holidays with his Uncle,W.G.CARTER.**J.H.MALLORY,and family have moved to their old home over in Kiowa County,and Oscar Cain will live in the residence vacated by Mr.MALLORY.Misses Eva MALLORY,and Stella LOOKINGBILL,were both thrown from a frightened horse Friday,and Stella sustained some severe bruises about her shoulders,and was laid up for awhile,but is all right at this writing She was lucky enough not to get hurt.**Oscar GLASGOW has accepted a position at the Fair store for the season.**Mrs.J.D.CLAY and daughter,Miss Ima,visited with Mrs.W.B. ROSSER Friday.**Miss Mattie Allen of Berlin is spending the week with her cousin Miss Tivie Vanpool.**Rev.C.A.
