Consent is given for personal, non-commercial, genealogical use of my transcriptions of his diaries. My grandfather, Harvey Morrison, (1848-1927) kept daily diaries for the last sixty years of his life in Texas and Oklahoma. Not many of the diaries are known to be in existence today. Those few that are available have suffered time & neglect with the results that some are illegible--at least in part. I have been privileged to review and transcribe several of those original diaries, thanks to the kindness of other of his grandchildren who have helped to preserve his writing-- my brother,Orion Morrison, Jr.; cousins, Mrs. Melba Jean Rasor, F. A. Shapley, and Harvey Shapley (deceased). I have tried to copy Harvey's exact words and spellings. Punctuation is mine. There was little to no punctuation in the originals. I have no doubt misread words but I have tried to note with "[ ]" where I have no reasonable guess. Available at The Texas Collection at Baylor University in Waco is my compilation of several of Harvey's other diaries, entitled, "The Collected Diaries of Harvey Morrison." These transcriptions are of diaries written in two Ledger books--about 7" x 11." The Ledger containing entries for 1905, 1906 and 1907-- in disjointed sequence. The entries for 1905 appeared on pages 40 - 64; for 1906 page 65--141; and, 1907 142--174, to page 13 for seven entries, to page 19 through page 39 with the final three entries on page 10. I have no explanation for the sequencing of these of entries. Bill Morrison, Waco =============================== Harvey Morrison's Diary for 1906. (My transcription thereof.)
