Effort was made to copy spelling and to make reasonable "guesses" regarding questionable names and places. All emphasis is added. Original punctuation and capitalization was sporadic. Diary for Jan 1925 [While residing near Erick, Beckham Co., Oklahoma] T 1 Got up early it was cold from North Leo [Harvey's middle son of his marriage to Rebecca Elizabeth Robinson, nee Harvey] went to Dark to leave notice & he then went to town I set at home it faired up & wind stoped blowing about 1 PM I wrote here at 3 PM set at home the rest of day. _____________________________________________________________ F 2 Set at home & read AM went to town PM Leo went around to see parties came home late. _____________________________________________________________ S 3 Went to town PM & set at Gillums most of the time lots of folks there came home late cool. _____________________________________________________________ S 4 Set at home all day was not very well had a bad spell of heart failure at night Leo mad coffee & I set up awhile & took stricknine tabs & was better. _____________________________________________________________ M 5 Leo went to town & came back & I went with him PM & set around it was fair and warmer. T 6 Went to town early set at Gillums till most 2 PM. Came home eat dinner & set & read & wrote here at 4 PM Leo had gon a hunting fair & warmer Leo went to church at Methodist at night. _____________________________________________________________ W 7 Leo went to Sayre [County seat of Beckham county, Oklahoma] early & I stayed at home & read & Leo got back about 3 PM & went to church at night. _____________________________________________________________ T 8 Went to town early Came back & set around & read warm & nice. _____________________________________________________________ F 9 Went to Darks he had took the last bale of cotton to gin went to town & back at noon Leo went again PM & at night to church & basket ball game. _____________________________________________________________ S 10 It was cloudy & cold got mail Leo went to town I wrote here at 4 PM he had just got home faired off? [In January 1908 Orion Morrison was assigned the first rural mail route established in Erick after statehood. His brother, Leo, apparently sometimes carried it for Orion.] _____________________________________________________________ S 11 Set at home Leo went to S S & came home eat dinner & went to Tom Powells Benny came home with us & Leo then went to preaching at Methodist church & took Powells came home late it was fair. _____________________________________________________________ M 12 Set around home all day & read it was windy & cold Leo went to town & took Tom to the meeting at Wilsons Tom & Shorty Brook came & set till after 10 PM the wind stoped 6 PM. _____________________________________________________________ T 13 Went to town & took in most of the town came home about 1 PM set around it was fair & warm Leo went to church at night. _____________________________________________________________ W 14 Went to town AM set at home the rest of day it was fair till after noon it blowed from south hard. S 25 Got up early Leo don the choirs Killed & dressed a chicken he then went to S. S. at 930 AM I wrote here at 11 AM we went to Powells 6 mile East of Erick [Oklahoma in Beckham county] Leo went to preaching at night. _____________________________________________________________ M 26 It blowed up cold about midnight & was cold & high wind all day Leo stayed at home all day & we read etc. _____________________________________________________________ T 27 Still cold but no wind Leo went to town I stayed at home all day & read etc Leo went back PM. _____________________________________________________________ W 28 Went to town with Leo morning & evening it was fair & warm. _____________________________________________________________ T 29 Set at home & read AM Leo brought some berries & cooked them & we went to town PM & set around till late came by Powers & got some milk & we got some coal it was fair Leo went to loge at night. _____________________________________________________________ F 30 Went to town & set at Gillums till noon took sick & we came home and I throwed up the milk I eat for breakfast Leo went to town & back at 430 PM. _____________________________________________________________ S 31 Set around home AM went to town & set around & walked around some came home early. _____________________________________________________________ Diary for Feb 1925 S 1 Leo went to church Dark was there came home set around PM it was cold but fair. _____________________________________________________________ M 2 Leo went to town early I set at home & read AM went to town & walked around PM came home early Dark comenced to plow on this place got a letter from C C Morrison AM went to town PM. T 3 Set at home all AM went to town PM talked to Lambnight came home early Delia [then, Leo's wife] went to Sayre with Dark it was fair & nice. _____________________________________________________________ W 4 Got up early we went to Sayre took Bingham and the Lawyers Worked on the case all day & agreed several times but Delia would back out got the case put off came home it was a fine day. _____________________________________________________________ T 5 Set at home & read AM Leo went to town we went to town PM Leo went to Lodge & to see Bingham fine & fair. _____________________________________________________________ F 6 Went to town early set around came home early read the papers Price, the matress man came & set awhile then eat dinner & went to town came home late & we booth took a bath at night Fair. _____________________________________________________________ S 7 Set at home & read Leo went to town & brought out Mr Richardson we had a long talk & fine time we all went to town then and I set in cars most of the evening came home late fair. _____________________________________________________________ S 8 Set at home all day Leo went to S S & preaching & then back at night still fair wind from N Leo wrote to Frank & Myrtie & I wrote to Ca not much cold. [Frank & Myrtie Mae Shapley--she was Harvey's daughter "Ca" is Caleb C. Morrison-one of Harvey's brothers who lived in Cooke County, Texas, near Harvey's parents Milton L. and Nancy Ann Morrison and most of their children--all of whom came there from Tennessee in about mid 1870s] _____________________________________________________________ M 9 Some ice but fair most of day I set at home & read & wrote here at 5 PM Leo hauled off a load of Wheat to Benomise[?] & him & Tom loaded up another & he then helped Tom on well fair. T 10 I was very windy and a sand storm most of day Leo went to town & then went back to see about a complomize they mad none wind layed about Sundown Benny Powers came & stayed all night. _____________________________________________________________ W 11 Cool but fair Dark came by Leo cleaned up & they went to town I got mail & read & wrote here at 110 PM Leo went back to town to see if there was a chance of complomizing Tom Powers came & set awhile Leo took him home. _____________________________________________________________ T 12 Leo went to town early & came back & took a load of Wheat to Benomise & came home & loaded up another him & Tom Powers they then went off I got mail & read & set at home wrote here 430 PM. _____________________________________________________________ F 13 Leo went to town & brought Tom home with him we eat dinner & Leo took the last load of Wheat to Benomise after 2 PM Tom set awhile & tended to the cow & then went home I stayed at home all day not very well Wind from South hard. _____________________________________________________________ S 14 Got mail & set at home AM went to town & went over town some sold the ____ [?] trees on home lots to Prack for $8.00 $2.50 down $5.50 due fair but cool. _____________________________________________________________ S 15 Got up early Leo went to take Chaney Brooks to Sayre I wrote here from Jan 1st to date this 1145 Am Leo came home eat dinner & then went to Shamrock Tx & saw Venus Josie was gon to Ranger I set at home all evening Delia came down & got som maches fair and nice. [Harvey had two daughters from his third marriage--to Josie Caviness, nee Newman--Venus and Pleiades] _____________________________________________________________ M 16 Set at home all day & read the Sundays Leo went to town AM & back & got coal PM the wind blowed all day. T 17 Got mail cleaned up house etc read & wrote here 130 PM It was fair & cool Leo got up horses then went off not back yet 130 PM Leo had helped Tom Kill hogs came home eat dinner & went to rake up weeds & brok the rake tounge & fixed it fair but cool from S. _____________________________________________________________ W 18 Set at home & read most all day cleaned out the toilet Leo went to town & got lamp flue & other things still cool from South but fair Leo raked & burned weeds on the creek North of R R. _____________________________________________________________ T 19 Leo went & got a stalk cutter of Smith I set at home Leo cut cotton stalks North of R R & went to loge at night Fair & warmer. _____________________________________________________________ F 20 Set at home AM & read Leo cut stalks on North side of R R AM & went to Texola PM cloudy & a little cool wrote here at 1 PM, got some papers from Ca Leo went to loge at night. _____________________________________________________________ S 21 Set at home A.M. & read went to town PM & set around there. _____________________________________________________________ S 22 Set at home all day Leo went to church & they had a business meeting it was fair. _____________________________________________________________ M 23 Set at home it was cold & a hard wind Leo went to town a time or two. _____________________________________________________________ T 24 Set at home AM went to town PM cloudy & cool & got colder. _____________________________________________________________ W 25 Set at home AM went to town PM still cold Leo was looking up evidence. _____________________________________________________________ T 26 Set at home AM Went to town PM cold from East & hard wind. F 27 Set at home AM Leo went to have the lady summoned as a witness & came home & we both went to town to the trial of his & Darks rent case it was tryed before Pat without a jury Minton & Gipson for Dark & Bingham for Leo decision Sat at 9 AM eat supper & fish at Toms. _____________________________________________________________ S 28 Set at home AM Delia came & got books & had Mcgarr to haul off a load of hay Leo & Tom came & eat dinner & we all went to town then wind from the North came home the North road by Toms got three sacks of coal hard wind from North but not very cold. _____________________________________________________________ Diary for March 1925 S 1 Wind from north Leo went to preaching I wrote here at 1120 AM set around & read Sunday Oklahoman Leo went to town at night. _____________________________________________________________ M 2 Stayed at home all day & read the papers Leo went to town & to Sayre to see about appealing his & Darks case came home early & decided to stay here on this place & let the other man sue if he wanted too fair but cool. _____________________________________________________________ T 3 Set at home & read Leo cleaned up both rooms & got dinner we eat & he went to Sayre to Woodman banquet at about 1 PM I cleaned up & wrote here at 3 PM high wind but fair Leo stayed till late. _____________________________________________________________ W 4 Set at home all day Tom & John Powels came Leo went to town AM & then at night & got some red hens & a roster 20 hens at 22 per fair & nice. _____________________________________________________________ T 5 Set at home & read AM Leo cleaned out the hen house wind from the south Leo went to town at 2 PM Tom Powers brought the filleys home & set here till most night Leo went back to town & to Loge at night. _____________________________________________________________ F 6 Set at home all day cut up potatoes & then plowed garden & drug it & planted the potatoes it was real warm set out in the shad PM but was not well fair. No fire in stove today. S 7 Set at home & read some Leo went on North place to grub up some trees Delia got the eggs at noon I was not will Leo got hay & eat & then went to town at 2 PM I eat some cheese & crackers & wrote here at 3 PM Cloudy som. warm no fire in heater to day. _____________________________________________________________ S 8 Leo went to church & S. S. we eat dinner & went across North fork to Sikes & got some alfalfa seed Some wind from West but mostly fair Delia got the eggs while we were gon. no fire to day. _____________________________________________________________ M 9 Set at home & read all day Leo worked the road on North side of place fair but cool wind from West or S.W. no fire all day. _____________________________________________________________ T 10 Leo went to town then to John Powells & got a go Devil & eat dinner & went & got his car top fixed & then went to his place to cut sprouts I set at home got the mail & said a few words to Delia about the chickens & mail box wrote here at 430 PM Wind from West & cool & turned to N.E. at night. _____________________________________________________________ W 11 Went to get the mail & the box was gon Delia said she had it Leo took it easy him & Tom Powers working on the land north of the R R go deviling & dragging etc set at home not very well wrote here at 4 PM It was cold from N E moderated & clouded up & turned some warmer. _____________________________________________________________ T 12 Set at home all day it sprinkled rain & hailed som & was cloudy & sprinkled rain some PM Leo & Tom got don preparing the land for alfalfa on North side of R R & it thundered & lightened most all night and sprinkled som. _____________________________________________________________ F 13 The wind was hard from the West & N W all day set around Leo went to Toms & to town & it got cold at night etc all night it was real cold set around all day The Rawley man came & the hog man. S 14 Leo cleaned up around & put up a mail box up at the road & he then went to town PM it was cold ice an inch or more thick wind from North & high most of time I read most of day & wrote here at 420 PM Leo came home late still cold went to Powells at night. _____________________________________________________________ S 15 Set at home all day Leo went to church & to S.S. & to preaching at night- wind from South & cold but fair. _____________________________________________________________ M 16 Stayed at home all day & read the Sundays it was cool & windy from West Tom came for the mars [mares?] but is was too windy Leo recovered the shed the wind had blowed the roof off Tom helped. _____________________________________________________________ T 17 Stayed at home all day Leo fixed lot & pasture fence & we went to Orions & set till bed time & they played 42 the boys & Sites & Sawyers. [Orion--my father-- was Harvey's youngest son by Rebecca Elizabeth] _____________________________________________________________ W 18 Set around AM went to town PM Tom eat dinner here & went with us fair but cold saw Prack & he told me of the letters to stop etc [?] Leo sent with Stone to Sites for chickens. _____________________________________________________________ T 19 Set at home AM Leo cleaned up & went to Depot to meet Powers came home & worked around the garden & planted seed in boxes I shaved wrote here at 4 PM fair wind from South Mr Emmons came & set awhile at night. _____________________________________________________________ F 20 Got up late got mail wind from South getting higher all morning till 12 noon Leo got up mars but wind too high to work then he burnt weeds on creek below garden wrote here at 1210 PM Went to town PM & saw Brooks & Thymen came home early Leo went to Loge. _____________________________________________________________ S 21 Set at home all day Leo cleaned up some & then went to town I was sick & got worse & was bad when he got home & throwed up twice but got better at night. S 22 Was better eat some the set around & read Leo went to Church & then then went back to town PM I walked around some & wrote here at 410 PM fair & warm Leo got back at 9 PM had been to Sayre. _____________________________________________________________ M 23 Set around AM went to town PM & Leo made arrangements to go fishing came home Leo don up the work & churned & it was fair & warm. _____________________________________________________________ T 24 Got up early Leo fixed & went to Lawton or to the lake him & Emmons I set at home all day Dark put his cows & 3 mules in the pasture I kept the mules up & turned them out about 6 PM Benny Powers came down to do the work he milked & don the choirs it was fair & nice & warm. _____________________________________________________________ W 25 Set at home all day most & read etc Benny came from school about 6 PM Tom had been here AM Benny don choirs & eat his supper Delia came by & set awhile I had turned a cow out Leo came home about 9 PM fair & warm. _____________________________________________________________ T 26 The wind got up early & blowed hard all day & we set at home all day me & Leo he don choirs it was cool & a hard wind from North all day. _____________________________________________________________ F 27 Leo healed out onions & worked on his car AM Tom & wife came & set awhile we eat dinner & Leo went to town & I wrote here at 330 PM Set around & read etc Leo & Tom came in & Leo took Tom home & then don choirs fair & nice not much wind but a plenty from South mostly. _____________________________________________________________ S 28 Got up early Leo went to Toms & got ladder & then went to town come home at dinner & then went back I read & wrote here at 415 PM high wind from South all day & smokey Leo came home & don choirs & read the ---ction paper Delia had took the last of the hay & she gathered the eggs to day. S 29 Set at home & took a bath Leo cleaned up around & put in a box & then went tot town the wind from N E & cool wrote here at 535 PM Leo had been to Hardshell meeting & to Ball game came home early. _____________________________________________________________ M 30 Cloudy & misting all day Tom came & helped clean out cistern & Grandpa came with them & eat dinner & Leo took them home & went to town him & Tom. _____________________________________________________________ T 31 Set at home AM went to town took Tom set around came home early it was cloudy some but no rain blowed from South rather hard. _____________________________________________________________ Diary for April 1925 W 1 Set around AM Tom came & we went by there & took him to town walked over town had a talk with O Connell came home Leo don up choirs & went back at night for a setting of eggs at Sallies fair but looked like rain late rained North of here it looked like. _____________________________________________________________ T 2 Set at home all day put out bed clothes the wind got up high from West Leo took hay to town & bought a low wagon from Herbert Moss Tom & folks came down the folks went to Delias it was cool & high wind Watsons boys came down PM Wrote here at 630 PM. _____________________________________________________________ F 3 Set at home all day very high wind from North & cool Leo went to Loge at night. _____________________________________________________________ S 4 Set at home AM went to town PM set around in town got check from Prack wind from North all day Leo went to town at night. _____________________________________________________________ S 5 Got up early shaved & dressed & went to Clucks birth day dinner he was 35 Stones Renners [?] Tuyles [?] & Parkers were there & we sure had a fine time & extra good dinner came home late & don choirs. M 6 Got up early & went to town prepared to go to Mangum to trial but did not go high wind from South came home & Powells came & Eat dinner & stayed till 5 PM very high wind from South. _____________________________________________________________ T 7 Tom Powers came & Leo & him cleaned out the cistern at Delias & then Leo took a load of hay to town on his new wagon I read & wrote here at 110 PM Leo came home late & set around & read. _____________________________________________________________ W 8 Leo took a load of [blank] & brought back lumber to make a frame for hay Toms came & set till bed time & Billey stayed all night. I missed Wednesday here. [?] _____________________________________________________________ T 9 Washed dishes & swept up Leo took hay to town & came home early Tom & family came & Tom helped him on his hay frame fair & wind from N W to N. This for Friday [?] wrote here at 655 PM. _____________________________________________________________ F 10 Set at home all day Tom & wife came PM Tom set here & we talked about the make up some Leo came later & then went back to W. O. W. lodge fair & warm. _____________________________________________________________ S 11 Set at home Am went to town PM & set in car after talking with Blancit came home early & it rained a shower Delia helped put up the chickens warm at night. _____________________________________________________________ S 12 Tom came down & Leo don choirs & went to S. S. & preaching Tom came & got me & I went up there & eat dinner & we all went to the egg hunt in the alfalfa & then to the ball game at Eck Ellises & home fair but showers around. _____________________________________________________________ M 13 Set at home & read the papers Leo went to town Tom came & got the team & his wagon Leo came back at 11 AM & worked around the hay house some--daubed it with oil I wrote here at 315 PM we went & got some water cress at Mrs Boyers place & then don choirs Tom brought the team home. T 14 Set around & read it was very high wind from S E & sand & cold Leo worked on his hay frame the Wilson boys came awhile it quit blowing about Sundown. _____________________________________________________________ W 15 Leo went to town I shaved & got ready to go to Shamrock & then wrote here at 10 AM we went to Shamrock to Venuses & eat dinner & Martin came & we talked awhile & I went up to Halls office & had my teeth pulled 13 of them paid him $5 we then came home & I bled all night till 4 AM & never slept. _____________________________________________________________ T 16 Set at home all day read some Leo went after the mail & got back just before 12 he went to town PM & seen about a trade with Dark & we talked it over he took Delia to Texola at night fair & warm. _____________________________________________________________ F 17 Leo went to town early Delia came by & I wrote here at 9 15 AM Leo went to see about trading with Dark but did not trade Tom & folks & Martin & Sallie came out & we went to the water cress pack & got some cress Tom took Delia & the folks fair & nice. [Sallie (nee Robinson) is Harvey's step-daughter and my father, Orion's, half-sister, Martin Stone was her husband.] _____________________________________________________________ S 18 Leo stayed around home most all morning & don choirs I was sick then he went to town about 1 PM & came back about 3 PM I was better he went of with Martin & came home late Martin & Sallie came out & set till bed time the wind got high from W. _____________________________________________________________ S 19 Leo don the choirs & then went to S. S. & church at 10 AM I set at home not very well & wrote here at 1145 AM We eat dinner & then Powells came by & we all went down in the breaks & set there awhile then eat supper & a good one at that then came home about dark it was a fine day. M 20 Set at home all day not much well mouth sore & bleeding some Tom got a load of maize AM Leo went to town PM Delia eat supper with us & we talked awhile fair all day not much wind. _____________________________________________________________ T 21 Leo went to town early to see about the Dark trade came home at noon & we eat & he went to fix the door screen at Delias wrote here at 215 PM we went to town & I walked around Leo got poke [poke salad greens] at old place we came home early the wind from S rather hard. _____________________________________________________________ W 22 High wind from South all day sprinkled some about 4 PM clouded up from West & rained about 930 till most 12 at night Leo went to town morning & evening Delia was here PM & we had the first long talk about the make up etc.[the "make up" was apparently reference to the status of Leo's marriage to Delia] _____________________________________________________________ T 23 Had had a good rain the first in 5 months and more water in the cistern & tubs set at home AM Leo went to town & came back at 12 Tom & wife & Delia eat dinner here & they all went off but Delia & we had another talk Leo went to town went off with Tom I wrote here at 550 PM. _____________________________________________________________ F 24 Set at home all day read etc. _____________________________________________________________ S 25 Went to town early went on the rout with Orion & then eat in Nichols restaurant & set around came home with Toms & Leo came later he had cleaned up around AM. _____________________________________________________________ S 26 Set at home Leo went to S. S. & Preaching Elder preached & it came up a big rain I put up the chickens all but one hen Leo put her up the creek got out of banks some Delia brought up some Dinner & lot of things to eat after the rain. _____________________________________________________________ M 27 Set at home Leo went to Toms & to town got greans lamsquarter etc Delia was here & Gladis & Tom & Mrs Powell. T 28 Leo fixed the greans & cooked them I stayed at home all day it was cloudy some & cool. _____________________________________________________________ W 29 Was not well all day my bowells was loose eat Prunes & was no better Delia eat here up till late. _____________________________________________________________ T 30 Was up early my bowells bad & very sore & running off was very poorly & in bed some better at night. _____________________________________________________________ Diary for May 1925 F 1 Got up early all right set around AM & went to town PM got a shave & came home early read some & wrote here at 630 PM Leo worked in garden plowed some & set out bermuda onions it was a fine day but fair cool & fair. _____________________________________________________________ S 2 Set at home AM Leo plowed in garden & got go devil & worked som in alfalfa ground North of R R we all went to town PM & set around till late & the don choirs it was fair but cool. _____________________________________________________________ S 3 Leo went to S. S. & church & I took a bath & set around Delia eat dinner here & we set and talked till 3 or 4 then went to town & took Mr Morris the peanut man out for a ride went around the big & lower Davis farm & then came home & don choirs & Leo went to town again & Delia stayed here till the wind blowed up at 930 PM the wind was hard from the east at night. _____________________________________________________________ M 4 Set at home all day Leo worked on alfalfa land most all day he got a harrow from Smith Tom got drill at noon Delia was here PM & set awhile & helped put up the chicks Leo went to town at night the wind hard from East most all day. T 5 Set at home & read the papers I washed up the dishes AM got the Sunday Delia brought roast for dinner & biscuit etc I read PM Leo worked on the alfalfa land all day after going to town AM. M 10 Got up early eat & Leo tended to Toms things & then went to disk some in alfalfa land it was cloudy & a big due but cleared some by 9 AM when I wrote here Leo got don disking & fixed the mower & started to cut weeds & alfalfa in pach by garden broke the mower toung & fixed it & then mowed the peace of ground Toms folks came & got some peas they had got back from their vacation Dark baled hay on this place all day & got most don. _____________________________________________________________ T 11 Leo don choirs around & then went to town McGar hauled hay from this place to the barn 3 loads AM Leo trying to drive the mars up at 12 noon when this was wrote Mrs Reverts boy worked for Leo him & Tom puting hay in the shed the McGar boy & another had some trouble about putting hay in the barn for Dark because they would not leave an opening Leo was sick they got don baling. _____________________________________________________________ W 12 Dark came & him & Leo moved the hay that was the trouble & they finished puting up all the hay both of them & put the baler away Leo Disked & put up hay AM Tom disked & Leo fixed the garden fence PM & Leo went to church at night it was hot & windy & dry to day. _____________________________________________________________ T 13 Got up early wrote to Myrtie & Frank & to Josie & sent her a check & wrote here Leo went to disking fair & cool at 850 AM when this was wrote Leo Disked on till about 5 PM & then Disked the garden & potato pach & took the disk home & fixed & went to church at night. S 29 Got up early me & Leo left here at 620 AM went by Clucks then to Pracks & got 1/2 bu of peaches went by Sweetwater & then to Wheeler got some ham sandwich went by Mobetie & to Chiaune[?] stoped a while was sick went on to Spearman & out to Franks no one at home set around till they came & it rained a big rain or rather two rains. _____________________________________________________________ S 30 Set around AM went to the McBride School house & wached them play ball till it rained Leo went to Davidsons to see the boy that got hurt by a horse falling on him we went after him & then came on to Franks. _____________________________________________________________ M 31 Leo went home & left me and I set around all day. _____________________________________________________________ Diary for Sep 1925 T 1 From the first to the 20 I was at F A Shapleys & while there there was plenty of rain I went to Spearman the 3 to the boys & girls fair went to Guymon twice once with Harvey to see the Dr & once with Frank to see about repairs & bring Bulah [dau of Frank and Myrtie Shapley] home went one Sunday to Becks with Mr Higgs & in all had a nice time came home the 20 met Leo at Canadian & me & Frank Walling came on home with him found all right The hot winds had nearly ruined crops here from the 1st to the 10 or 13 & it rained a shower the 13th & was cooler afterward but the cotton had shed lots of bowles. _____________________________________________________________ W 21 Went to town early me & Leo & Frank Waling I came out & was sick for a while we took Frank to his uncles Mr Watson near Texola & then went to town & back it had rained some about 2 PM. _____________________________________________________________ T 22 It rained some along most all day we did not get to move. _____________________________________________________________ W 23 It rained all day & we set at home & read etc the creek was out of bank some slow rain & cold from North. M 28 Set around all day Leo went to the sale at Stricklands bought a mule & som others things & a pair of Big black horses & got them home I went down & looked at them it was still cold but from the South. _____________________________________________________________ T 29 Set at home was not as well as usual Leo went 10 mile East to a sale & bought some plows or cultivators & a mule & a lot of junk he got home late but don choirs & went to Stricklands for his wagon but it was gon still cold from South. _____________________________________________________________ W 30 Got up early very early Leo went with his car & got his wagon & got back by 945 AM & I wrote here at 10 AM Leo then went down North of Delhi & got some cultivators a lister & a young mule $20.00 mule it was cool AM but fair. _____________________________________________________________ T 31 Got up early Leo don choirs & then went to sale at Hickeys bought a stalk cutter & a few other things I set at home & read etc it was still cool & froze ice a little but not bad like it had been. _____________________________________________________________ ============================================================ The foregoing record represents the text of the 112 handwritten journal pages of Harvey Morrison's 1925 daily diary .
