As stated in the Record last week he had been to Hammon visiting the Cheyenne Indians and while there contracted a very severe cold and an attack of Rheumatism. Fearing that the end was near he directed his relatives to hasten with all possible speed homeward. His life was despaired of while on the train but Quannah's great desire to reach home and his heroic efforts against death were successful. But 29 minutes elapsed however after arriving home before he had joined the great throng in the happy hunting grounds beyond. It is said that while Parker had never confessed the Christian religion he expressed a desire to meet his Christian mother and the white God. He was burried (sic) beside his mother whom he recently had removed from her original burial place in Texas.
