BULL, AARON, ARTHUR
(25 May 1905, Erick Enterprise, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
On last Friday night, May 19, Arthur Bull a young man about 18 years of
age, of this vicinity, and a second cousin of George Bull, was shot
through the head by a 38 calibre pistol in the hands of Emory Coursey and
instantly killed, aged about 18 and son of R. S. Coursey a well known
farmer, four miles west of town.  The killing occurred late at night while
the boys were returning from a school entertainment at the Riverview
school house, 4 miles northwest of here and there were present, besides
the principals, only, Robt. Chambers, another boy about 17 or 18 years, of
that vicinity.  Warrants were issued for the arrest of both boys, young
Coursey for the killing of young Bull and young Chambers as an accomplice.
 This was done as a result of Justice Cannon's inquest proceedings and
examination on the grounds.
It is further reported out there that Coursey was a constant "pistol
toter" and made threats against others for whom he had a dislike.  All
this, of course, has had the affect to place young Coursey in a plight.
Arthur Bull's remains were interred in the Erick cemetery on last Sunday
in the presence of a large crowd, his father, who lives in Day county,
having arrived, was present for the burial.

Killed near Texola.  We are indebted to the Texola Herald for the history
of the killing of young man by the name of Authur (sic) Bull, by Emery
(sic) Coursey.  It seems that reports by those who witnessed the tragic
affair are so conflicting as to make it difficult to determine whether it
was accidental or intentional.
At any rate it is the result of another boy with a loaded gun in hand. 
Better leave your fire arms in your rooms, boys, when you go out riding.
