(28 Jun 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Sgt. Henry G. Millerman was born February 22, 1888, at Newburgh, N. Y. Died June 22, 1923, at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Deceased spent the greater part of his mature life in the army, having enlisted at the early age of 18 years. He served one enlistment at Key West, one at Vancouver, Washington, and two on the Mexican border, then was transferred to Altus, Okla., promoted to the rank of Sergeant and placed in charge of the Recruiting Service at that place. Later was placed on Recruiting service at Oklahoma City and Chickasha and from there was transferred to Ft. Reno where he contracted tuberculosis. He was then sent to the government hospital at Ft. Sam Houston, where he remained until his death. Sergeant Millerman was united in marriage to Miss Nannie Musick, daughter of J. K. Musick at Elk City, Okla., April 4, 1917. To this union was born two daughter(s), Florine, age 5 years and Letitia, age 3 years who are left to mourn the loss of a most devoted husband and father, also two sisters and three brothers of New York. His mother and one sister having preceded him only a few weeks ago. Tis sad to give up one in the prime of life and usefulness with such bright prospects of the future for him but God knew best and we command the loved ones to him who knoweth best and doeth all things well. Funeral services were held Monday June 25th at the home of J. W. Musick, brother of Mrs. Millerman, conducted by the Reverend J. S.
