H. Alexander were conducted Friday, May 26, at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Garland Wilson, in the Savage Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City. Mrs. Alexander passed away on May 23, at her home in Elk City, after several months' illness. Truly Jane Carpenter was born at Celeste, Texas, on March 15, 1874. She was married to James H. Alexander on May 10, 1891 at Kingston, Texas. Mr. And Mrs, Alexander moved to Hammon in 1899, and moved to Elk City in 1940. She is survived by her husband, J. H. Alexander, 720 West Ave. C, Elk City; six daughters, Mmes. Leta Stall,(sic) Truly Peterson, Elk City; Bell(sic) Ackley, Clinton; Ara Foust, Pueblo, Colo.; Lois Hester, Sayre; Halcyon Cloer, Sherman, Texas; two sons, Harmon Alexander, U. S. Marines, Chicago, Ill., and Marion Alexander, San Francisco, Calif.; 10 grand children and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter. Burial was in Red Hill cemetery, Hammon. Casket bearers were Mrs. Alexander's son-in-laws, Buster Stall,(sic) Clarence Peterson, E. S. Foust, H. J.(sic) Ackley, Robert Hester and T. M.
