All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Red Hill Cemetery--Hammon OK The Elk City Daily News, Sunday, December 31, 1972, pg 2 Sec A Jack Allen Rites Sunday Funeral services for Jack Carter Allen, Jr., 25 year-old Hammon assistant city marshal who died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital of a rare blood disease, will be conducted from the Hammon High School auditorium at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31. Rev. Glenwood Buzbee and Tom Buzbee will officiate. Interment will be in Red Hill Cemetery near Hammon under the direction of Savage Funeral Home of Elk City. Allen was born June 17, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Rex., and was married to Tana Wiggins on Nov. 25, 1966, in Claude, Texas. He had attended the University of Texas at Arlington and had been a member of the Amarillo Police Department. He had moved to Hammon 1 1/2 years ago from Dallas. While in Hammon he had served as assistant city marshal and was the Hammon Boy Scout master, member of the Clinton Committee of Concern, sponsor of the Hammon Medics, past chief ruler of the Junior Odd Fellows and was scheduled to go into the U.S. Marine Corps on Jan. 7th for officer training school. Survivors include his wife, Tana, of the home; 1 son, Jack Trey Allen III, 1 foster so, Richard Reworn; 1 sister, Mona Gail Smith of Haskell, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Jean Gasparek, Iowa Park, Tex.; his father, Jack C. Allen Sr., Waukomis; his grandmother, Mrs. L. L.
