   Shirley Arteberry
   SAYRE, Okla. - Shirley Arteberry, 87, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Martin Funeral Home Chapel in
   Sayre with the Rev. Lynn Brack officiating. Burial will be in
   Sayre-Doxey Cemetery.
   
   Mrs. Arteberry was born in Hooker and moved to Grimes community with
   her family. She attended St. Joseph's School. After her marriage, she
   lived near New Liberty then moved to Sayre in the late 1940s.
   
   With her husband, Mrs. Arteberry was involved in several business
   ventures including a drive-in restaurant, a hobby shop and a Ford
   tractor dealership.
   
   She married Dave Arteberry in 1930 at Elk City. He died in 1989. She
   also was preceded in death by two daughters, Clyda Ellen Reynolds and
   Lettie Joan Fuchs.
   
   Survivors include four children, Gardner Arteberry of Leawood, Kan.,
   Mattie Gail Thompson of Erick, Davey Sue Thomas of Pueblo West, Colo.,
   and Frankie Diana Franklin of Elk City; 22 grandchildren; and 14
   great-grandchildren.
