   Rosa  Paralee  Barfield  was  born May 1, 1905 near Cheyenne, Oklahoma
   Territory  to  Corda  and James Marion Ayres and passed away September
   17,  1994 in the Erick Nursing Center at the age of 89 years, 4 months
   and 16 days.
   Rosa grew up in the Needmore community near Berlin, Oklahoma where she
   attended school. In 1928, Rosa married R.G. (Guy) Barfield in Modesto,
   California.  They  later  moved  to  the Texas Panhandle living in the
   Lefors  and  Kellerville  communities.  They also lived in Sweetwater,
   Oklahoma  for  several  years before moving back to California. In the
   early 1970's they moved to Erick to make their home.
   She was a member of the Erick First Baptist Church.
   She  was  preceded  in  death  by her parents, husband, 1 son Harry, 2
   sisters and 1 brother.
   She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Don Smith,
   Branson West, MO, and Wanda and Kenneth Fourier, McLean, TX; 1 sister,
   Anna   Porter,   Oklahoma   city,   OK;  13  grandchildren;  21  great
   grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
   Services  were  at  2:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 1994 at the Erick
   First Baptist Church officiated by Jim Medlock, and assited by Charlie
   Floyd.  Interment  was  in  the  Berlin  Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills
   County, Oklahoma under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
