All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* Hazel Julian Barrow Hazel Julian Barrow, 85, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Scott Greer and the Rev. Bob Murphy, both of Paramount Terrace Christian Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery in Elk City, Okla. Mrs. Barrow was born in Espanola, N.M., and attended high school in Elk City. She married Robert Barrow in 1930 at Sayre, Okla. She and her husband moved to Bonham in 1941. They later lived in Bella Vista, Ark., before moving to Amarillo in 1985. Mr. Barrow died in 1986. Mrs. Barrow served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps and was junior leader of the 10th Company, 5th Regiment at the Army base in Daytona Beach, Fla. She was a member of the Christian Church and was past president of the Christian Women's Group in Bonham. She also was president of her Sunday school class. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Melvin Isley of Amarillo; and a niece, Betty Overstreet of Plano. The family requests memorials be to Paramount Terrace Christian Church or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
