Mrs. Bowen lived in western Oklahoma before moving to Erick in 1952 where she lived at the time of her death. She had been a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters. Survivors include her daughgter, Darlene Cummings of Borger, TX; 3 grandchildren Bevalee Moore, Johnny and Larry Cummings; 3 great grandchildren, Jeremy and Chris Logan and Laura Cummings; 1 brother Sye E. Lane of Elk City; 2 sisters, Mussetta Spain of Weatherford, Leora Gray of Pampa, TX. Other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Eddie Overstreet, Satuday afternoon, August 25, 1984 at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Reydon, Roger Mills County, OK with interment in the White Rose Cemetery. Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Leon Lane, Joe Lane, Wayne Salyers, Harold Salyers, David Gilmer and Dewayne Lane.
