  Final rites for Mrs. Ludy Brannon, 57, widow of the late J.M.
Brannon, were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Second and Adams
street Church of Christ, with C.E. McGaughey, minister, officiating.
 
 Mrs. Brannon succumbed Saturday to an illness of almost a year. She had
a large circle of friends here having been a resident of Elk City for the
past 15 years.
 
 Children surviving Mrs. Brannonn are Mrs. Ruby Vinson and Mrs. Lester
Wallace, of Elk City, and E.F. Brannon, Quemado, New Mexico.
 
 Burial was made in a cemetery at Erick. Killough-Hullum funeral
directors were in charge.
