BREWER, AUGUSTUS MALONE
(8 Aug 1901, Thursday, Berlin Venture, Berlin, Roger Mills County, OK):
Mr. Gus Brewer to a relaps (sic) last week, Dr. Stone turned nurse and has
been staying there nights; he says he intends to pull him through if
possible, it will be a hard fight.  The doctor reminds us of our old
family doctor when he had a serious case, he would roll up his sleeves and
work with the patient until it went one way or the other, he generally won
though.  The writer owes his life today to that good old doctor who is out
of this world, but we will always cherish his memory and hope he is in a
better world than this.
LATER: - Mr. Gus Brewer died at 4:25 p.m. and was buried at the Berlin
cemetery Tuesday July 30th.
