He passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at the age of 59 years. John moved to Oklahoma in 1976 to work in the oilfield where he worked until 2006 when he started his battle with cancer. John met his wife Kathy in 1985 and they were married on February 4, 1996. John was affliated withe the Goodtimer's Club, enjoyed motorcycles, 4-wheeling, boating, hanging out with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of the Elk City home; a daughter, Tracy Marquez of Midland, Texas; stepson, Chad Burrows and wife Keri of Sayre, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Christi Swann and husband Andy of Enid, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, one great grandchild; 3 brothers, Alan, Mike and Randy, all of Tennessee, 2 sisters, Joyce Lamberth and Fay Richardson of Tennessee, a special brother-in-law, Maxie Lamberth, nieces, nephews and many friends. The family request memorials in John's name made to the American Cancer Society.
