Mrs. Mourning Louisa Britton, 90, 1129 North Washington street, died Wednesday, September 19, 1945, aft- er suffering an 8-year's illness. She was born December 25, 1855 in Tennessee and was married in 1874 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Erastus R. Britton who preceded her in death, Saturday, December 30, 1944 They had settled in Roger Mills County in 1892. Mrs. Britton was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two sons Valley Britton, Frederick, Oklahoma and Ike Britton, Vega, Texas and a daughter Mrs. Maude Robb, Casper Wyoming. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. A daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conduct- ed Friday afternoon, September 21, 1945 at 3 o'clock from the First Baptist church, Reverend Horace L. Janes, officiating with interment in Fairlawn cemetery, Savage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Elk City Daily News 21 Sept 1945
