BRODRICK, VERNA ETHEL
(Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, Sun 18 May 1975)
Vernie Brodrick - Carter Rites Set for Sunday.
Mrs Vernine Brodrick of Carter died Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma
City.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm in the Carter
Assembly of God Church.  Officiating will be Rev Oliver Thompson and Rev
Billy Walker.
Born August 4, 1897 in Grayson County, Texas, Mrs Brodrick moved when a
child with her parents to Carter.  She married Fred Brodrick November 24,
1912 in Indian Creek, Oklahoma.  They resided on a farm north of Carter
until retirement in 1954 when they moved to Carter.  She is a member of
the Assembly of God Church.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1974.  Survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs
Felicia Johnson of Elk City, Elena (Allena) Brodrick, both of Elk City;
Mrs Belva Rider of Campo, Colo., Mrs Ann Collins of Maryville, Mo; 3 sons
Harvey of the home; Leon of Ft. London, Colo; Troy of Weatherford; 10
grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Milton Ridley of
Oklahoma City; Merdia of Guymon.
Interment will be in the Carter cemetery under the direction of Rose
Chapel Funeral Service.
