BROWN, THELMA MAE
(22 Feb 1918, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  May Brown, the seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown of
the Retrop district, died at their home Saturday afternoon, after a long
illness.  The little one is said to have suffered quite a lot for a long
time, she having been sick for over a year.
Lee Brown, a brother of the deceased, was called home from the soldier
training camp at Camp Travis on account of the serious illness of his
sister, who died just a few hours before the time for Lee to return to his
post at the training camp.
The remains were laid to rest in the Retrop cemetery Sunday afternoon,
Rev. Walker of Sentinel, conducting the funeral rites.
